Studio Policies & Etiquette

If you are feeling ill or experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms Please stay home! Our studios require close proximity to other members. To limit exposure to others, please refrain from attending class if you are not feeling well. If you are exhibiting clear symptoms in class you may be asked to leave.
No Perfumes or Scents Please!  Deep breathing is an important aspect of Pilates practice and strong scents can be a health issue for some. In addition, some of these products can damage the equipment. Please refrain from wearing scents in the studio.

No perfumes or heavy oils and creams. Deep breathing is an important aspect of our Pilates practice and strong scents can be a health issue for some. In addition, some of these products can damage the equipment.

No sharp objects in your hair or on your clothing. For example, hair accessories, long necklaces, clothing with clasps or zippers as they can damage/interfere with the equipment.

Please arrive just a few minutes before your scheduled start time. We ask that you do not enter the studio until the class/session before yours has finished and participants have had time to exit.

When you arrive at the studio, please remove your shoes, stow your belongings and silence your phone. We recommend only bringing your necessary items.

Grip socks are required when in the studio for safety and sanitary purposes. You are, of course, welcome to purchase these grip socks through any retailer, however, we will have some of our favorites for sale in the studio.

Injuries or Health Conditions? Let your instructor know about any injuries (past or present), and/or any health conditions including pregnancy & postpartum that may effect your workout. If something does not feel good/right don't do it! Ask for a modified option and refrain from pushing yourself into doing something you don't feel comfortable with.

Be sure to sign up online prior to class. Please log into your account via our website or using the Momence scheduling app and enroll prior to class. If you need assistance with this please call.

If you choose to utilize the waitlist, please only add yourself to the waitlist for classes you plan to attend. If you are moved into the class, the cancellation policy applies, so please be on standby. If you add yourself to multiple waitlists in the same day and get in to multiple classes, the cancellation policy applies. If you make plans that will interfere with your ability to attend a class that you are on the waitlist for, please call or text us so we can remove you and bump up anyone behind you on the list.

Updated Group Class Cancellation Policy (Updated November 2024)

  • Class reminders will now be sent 48 hours before your scheduled class to provide you with ample time to make adjustments.

  • All cancellations must be made through Momence online or in the app to ensure that our system can track and notify anyone on the waitlist.

  • Cancellations made 24 hours or less before class will result in the loss of your class credit.

  • Three late cancellations within a 30-day period will incur a $50 late cancellation penalty charged to the card on file.

  • Class swaps from one time to another on the same day may be accommodated when possible, but this is not guaranteed and may require the use of a class credit if done within 24 hours.

  • No-shows will result in the loss of your class credit and a $10 no-show penalty charged to the card on file.

Notes:

  • Emergencies and unforeseen circumstances supersede these policies, and we will review past behavior. However, it is important to cancel through our booking system prior to requesting leniency on any penalties.

  • Overbooking (booking extra classes that you may not attend and then canceling the week of) is discouraged as it makes it challenging to plan our schedule effectively.

  • We do not wish to charge penalties, but they are meant to incentivize you to cancel through our booking system to ensure that the waitlist is triggered and anyone waiting for a spot is notified.

Updated Private Training Cancellation Policy (June 1, 2024):

  • Session reminders will now be sent 48 hours before your scheduled class to provide you with ample time to make adjustments.

  • Cancellations can be made by calling, texting or Emailing the studio or by going to Momence online or in the app.

  • Cancellations made 24 hours or less before the session will result in the loss of your session credit.

  • Three late cancellations within a 30-day period will incur a $100 late cancellation penalty charged to the card on file.

All class packages expire 90 days year from date of first use unless otherwise noted. Discounted plans/passes are not extendable and often include a shorter expiration window.

All class package and private session sales are final. While we are committed to providing flexibility when possible, including offering extensions or transfers of packages if necessary, we are unable to issue refunds.

If you think you may be more than 15 minutes late to class consider cancelling. Out of respect for other class participants and for your safety, we can not admit anyone to a group class that arrives more than 15 minutes after the start time.

And last but not least… Please be kind to one another. Most of us are doing our best and you never know what someone is dealing with behind the scenes on any given day.

Thank you for letting us be a part of your life and for helping us build this wonderful and real community.

Cancellation

All classes and private and semi-private sessions must be booked and paid for in advance to ensure your spot. A 24-hour notice of cancellation is required.

Pilates studios require 24 hours notice for cancellation so that the trainer and/or studio have enough time to book another client in that spot.

Equipment Classes

All new clients are required to complete at least five private sessions before signing up for any Pilates Equipment Class. This is to ensure the safety of the client as well as to maintain the flow of the class.

Refunds

All sales for any  session packages are final; there are no refunds. Exceptions may apply to certain situations.

Medical History All clients are required to fill out a Health and Liability Form before attending their first class or session. To save time, you can print and fill it out prior to your arrival at the studio. We take your privacy very seriously. The information provided on the questionnaire will be treated confidentially.

To enroll in a Pilates class you will need 5 private lessons to introduce you to the technique and flow. If you have previous Pilates equipment training please call the studio to discuss your options. The 5 introductory sessions will allow you to become familiar with various pieces of equipment and the principles of Pilates that set it apart from other execise modalities.  During these private sessions, your instructor will get to know you and your goals while introducing you to various Pilates exercises, thus making your class experience much more valuable.

To achieve a maximum benefit, we recommend that you attend a Pilates class at least 2 times a week. Feel free to choose between Reformer and Combination classes as your schedule allows.
